These work great for larger snacks like dried fruit (not raisins)., crackers and similar but are not so good for Goldfish, Cheerios or raisin-sized snacks if your little one is like mine - mine would hold it upside down and shake, or carry it by the lid with his hand partially inside.Once I figured this out, it became a lot easier. I only put in small snacks when I'm doling them out, and larger snacks for him to help himself. I can loop a bottle-catcher through the handles and attach to a sling or bag, which means I have a hands-free snack catcher while we're out and about.
they are a life saver. we use them every day in the car. she loves the independence and the keep her calm enough to fall asleep. otherwise she might cry and whine the whole time
Kids can still hold the flap open and dump the snack out, but I really don't think there's any way around that. We've been using these for over 2 years and still love them. The kids (ages 2 1/2 and 1) can get their snacks out easily, and it does contain most of the mess. They are still in perfect condition after almost daily use too. They're a great product.
I was pretty excited to find something i could stick snacks in for my toddler and not see a huge mess. It works ok. it does what its supposed to do, but my 14month old outsmarts it and will hold the flaps open so she can dump and shake them out. i still use it, as it keeps messes contained than any other containers i have, but probably won't leave her unattended with it anymore.
I thought that this product was solidly made, my only concern is that the top, that allows the child to reach their hand in is a bit stiff, also add to the little rubber spines, or grips that dot the top of the container have led my daughter to have her's kind of stuck on her hand. Other than that this is great, the bottom has a thick rubber bottom so it doesnt just slide everywhere, it also weighs the bottom down to help keep it from tipping. Easy to wash and maintain.
